catch up

hello there. ive been wanting to update, but ive been so lazy with regards to getting my thoughts together. so here they go....

first things first, the bahamas was great but too short. the weather was good despite what the forecasts had said & we had a lot of fun. the bahamas is very americanized which kind of sux becuz when i go to another place outside of the country, i like to get a feel for the culture, the food, the music, the people, etc... but please believe these people were exactly like us in every aspect. we did catch some local food at this local place, but honestly it wasnt much different from west indian food i tasted here n the US. oh well, no big deal.. i assume its because of the major tourism there. the resort was all inclusive so drinks and food wasnt a problem, except i probably gained like 5 lbs being there.

moving right along...coming back to work was a bummer. totally different weather, annoying ass people, and no beach!!! oh well thats life right? i need to get some fall/winter clothes for work. like big time. i ddidnt really have much to begin with but i refuse to freeze this season cuz im still wearing summer clothes. except who the hell wants to spend money on work clothes.

this weekend we celebrated mikala and jens bday. definitely good times. its weekends like those that keep me sane as far as having to live and work here. mikalas bday was different - a lil alcohol & some karaoke, which i never did before but it was fun. jens celebration was dinner at an expensive ass restaurant. if anyone knows me they know i hate spending money on food. i barely go grocery shopping. when i do, i buy the cheapest shit ever because food should not empty my bank acct. except this restaurant did. :-( so i am eating oatmeal, cereal, and oodles of noodles all week till i get paid on friday. i know, so sad, so sad.

watched sex & the city the movie again after jens dinner and it reminded me of how much i want to get married. like i dont really care for the idea of marriage, but i just want to be a bride, thats all. lol. the concept of marriage is really not that hot on my plate only because i dont think i will be doing anything different than i am doing now when i am married. im sure my relationship will remain the same, it will jsut b more permanent. & really at this point i feel like it is permanent already. however, this distance sux hot ass. but we make it work... & im happy about that.

anyways its monday morning & i guess i should be doing some work...
